Kiwitaxi Review: Fixed-Price Airport Transfers in 100+ Countries
Our editorial rating
Kiwitaxi is a booking platform for private airport transfers: you reserve online, pay a fixed price, and a driver meets you in arrivals holding a sign with your name. It operates in more than 100 countries and is the transfer partner we link to on our trip cost pages.
The pitch is simple: no taxi-rank haggling, no surge pricing, no explaining an address to a driver at 1 a.m. in a language you do not speak.

Booking and pickup experience
You enter the airport and your hotel address, pick a car class, and pay online or reserve with a card. The confirmation includes the driver contact and meeting instructions. Drivers track your flight, so a delayed landing does not cancel your ride, and waiting time (usually 60 minutes after landing) is included.
The price is locked at booking. Luggage, tolls and airport parking are included, which is exactly the list of things street taxis use to pad the fare.
When it beats a taxi or rideshare
On routes where licensed taxis are expensive or the airport is far from town (think Bali, Antalya, or many Italian cities), Kiwitaxi prices are commonly at or below the metered fare, with none of the uncertainty. For families with car seats or groups with lots of luggage, the pre-booked van class alone justifies it.
In cities with cheap, reliable rideshare (like most of the US), a private transfer costs more. Its value there is certainty at odd hours rather than raw price.
verifiedOur verdict
For late arrivals, families, and any airport where the taxi line feels like a negotiation, Kiwitaxi removes the variable everyone hates most about landing: how much the ride into town will really cost.
